Eurovision 2009 Albania: Kejsi Tola - “Me merr ne enderr”

Sixteen year old Kejsi Tola won Festivali I Kenges, Albanian national selection for Eurovision 2009 and will be performing English version of the song Me merr ne enderr, in Moscow.
The Albanian entry for Eurovision 2009 is a love song about longing between two people who are in love but can’t be together, so they meet in their dreams.

Andorra’s Three Finalists

ATV news have announced the three contestants that have been selected to compete for Andorra’s Eurovision Song Contest 2009 entry.
Andorra’s national final will be held in the Apolo Andorra Hall in Andorra la Vella in January and hosted by Meri Picart, familiar to the Eurovision public because she was Andorran commentator in 2004 when she also hosted the national selection.
The three songs that Andorra will choose from are:
* Susanna Georgi - Get a life (to be translated in Catalan)
Susanna (left in the picture) is Danish and she was Denmark’s spokesperson in Eurovision 2008. She is one of the sisters that comprised the duo Me & My.
* Marc Durandeau & Marc Canturri - Estrelles d’or (Gold stars)
Marc Durandeau (right in the picture) is a popular singer in Andorra, and Marc Canturri is famous both as singer and composer. Their song is about peace and union of Europe.
* Lluís Cartes - Exhaust
Lluís won the Sona9 contest as singer-songwriter and the Carles Sabater award to the best song in Catalan in 2005.
Juries Return With a 50% Share of the Voting

EBU has announced that the juries must contain both men and women with “reasonable range of ages”.
They will vote in the same way as it’s traditional for the Eurovision Song contest, giving 12, 10, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 scores and the scores will be added to the televoting results comprising national votes.
In case of a tie, televote score will have bigger value.
However, this change will apply only in the Finals and voting in the semi finals will still comprise of televoting only.

His BBC speech announcing the UK Eurovision 2009 selection with:
“People of Britain, I’m here to speak to you about something of considerable gravity: a subject that affects each and every one of us… “
One might think his talk about uniting the kingdom is a matter of national security! He will write the song but remains the question: what are the Brits prepared to do for their country?
In his campaign for victory in Europe, Andrew said “At least we‘ve got one vote in the bag.” - the one that he got from Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, who promised him to vote for UK in 2009!
Finland National Final All Songs Revealed

The Finnish broadcaster YLE has released the full details of 12 songs that will compete on January 31st to become the Finnish entry for the Eurovision Song Contest in Moscow in May, 2009.
The compilation CD with all the 12 songs “Eurovision 09” will be released on January 14th 2009.
