Many, many years ago,
When I was a little child,
Mama told me you should know,
Our world is cruel and wild,
But to make your way through cold and heat
Love is all that you need
I believed her every word,
More than anything I heard
But I was too scared to lose my fun
I began to cry a lot
And she gave me apricots
Kisses of the earth, fruits of the sun
Apricot stone,
Hidden in my hand
Given back to me
From the motherland
Apricot stone,
I will drop it down
In the frozen ground
I’ll just let it make its round
Apricot stone,
Hidden in my hand
Given back to me
From the motherland
Apricot stone
Now I see the northern stars
Shining brightly in the storm
And I’ve got an avatar
Of my love to keep me warm
Now I’m not afraid of violent winds
They may blow
They can’t win
May the winter stay away
From my harvest night and day
May God bless and keep my cherished fruit
Grow my tree up to the sky,
Once I waved my home goodbye
I just wanna go back to my roots
Apricot stone,
Hidden in my hand
Given back to me
From the motherland
Apricot stone,
I will drop it down
In the frozen ground
I’ll just let it make its round
Apricot stone,
Hidden in my hand (Hidden in my hand)
Given back to me (Given, given back to me )
From the motherland
Apricot stone
Hidden in my hand
Given back to me
From the motherland
Apricot stone
hi for everybody that read this passage and i hope send my hellow for eva and i have one request which send some her pictureb for me
Hi everyone, you know I live in Iran(a third world Asian country).Iranians are so totally dogmatic.Once they are believed in something, they won’t change their mind even if it’s not fair. This is very disturbing. The thing is that I thought Iranians are the only people who judge on the basis of their prejudice.
This is terrible that we are continuing the war that has occurre long time ago. It’s terrible that we can’t communicate in a healthy way and try to be realistic about something, putting aside all of the matters that don’t really relate to us.
In my country we have both Armenian people(mostly in our main state) & Turkish people(living in northern states belonging to them near Azerbaijan). We’re in touch with both groups & the two of them are very nice(actually my best friends are Annette(Armenian) and Hadis(Turkish).
In my opinion the song”Apricot stone”was lovely & the turkish song was very good too and I believe this two songs deserved to be the top ones cause I didn’t like the German song which placed first.
ben bu şarkıyı çok beyendim
veryyyyyyyyyy gooooood i like this
I think Eva Rivas is the best but Apricot stone is bad song
you think wrong. I am a turkish.but I thin this song was the most beautiful song in eurovision song contest.armenian people are our first enemy.but you should think without side.just see the side of art.eve rivas is already very succesful singer and this song is very beautiful. I couldn’t forget this song till eurovision song contest night.
Like i said before song is so so. By the way; i can understand who is Turkish or not because i am Turkish. So “Turkish4ever” u are not Turk. You only might be an armenian who lives in Turkiye. This woman isnt hot and not a babe. So any Turk dont think so neither.Only song looks nice, like i said before so so..
the user whose nick is “Turkish4ever”.. You are not Turkish. Please don’t write comments by using Turkish nicknames to deceive people. This song is so so, can’t win so couldn’t win.
I think that this song is good.Because they used here AZERBAIJAN NATIONAL INSTRUMENT “BALABAN”.If There was not BALABAN this song was nothing.
I think that eva rivas is ugly woman. And here users have wrote about Azerbaijan people some thinking.I don’t agree these.Azerbaijan people is humanist people. They love other people.I ask you my words don’t rub.
I only discovered when the esc-final was over that this is my favorite song Now I m sure, for me its the winner of 2010.
These loveful comments are 99% coming from Armenian people. This woman isn’t beautiful and not the best. How can you say she is best? I didn’t like her and her ideas. I am sorry but it is terrible.
dragutzzz:X:X
Terrible song! I don’t like it at all.
you are great Eva! I wish you luck in your future career
I didn’t like the song a lot. And the lyrics are very bad and politic. I hate thie lyrics because it’s for Turkey. They wanted to send a message to Turkey with this song. I don’t want to talk about politics more. My opinion: song is not good. Stage performance is bad…
the song is not very bad, but it may be better without some armenian RABIZ efects….. songwriter love his (her) motherland and RABIZ music very much and that`s why the song is very armeniaish and RABIZish………….. (((((((((
Germans say Eva Rivas winner of Eurovision 2010
German experts have concluded that Armenian representative of Eurovision 2010 Eva Rivas was the best. “Had televoting decided the winner, Armenian contestant Eva Rivas would have taken the first prize, not Lena Meyer of Germany,” experts of Maracon Institute in Bonn said, according to Morgenpost.
The paper writes each country gives 1-12 points to contestants. German representative got 246 points from 30 countries. The points from each country are measured by percents with 1 point equal to 1,72 %; the total number of votes is multiplied with the number of people to get the precise figure.
According to the source, taking into account that Lena had 76,76 mln. fans in Europe, she has received 9,82% of votes.
While, Armenia’s Eva Rivas, who ended 7th with 141 points, has gained 10,42% of the votes, with the total of her fans being 81,48 mln., including 23,73 mln. from Russia. The source says, 9,89 mln. fans voted for Rivas in Germany, according to the number of votes she received from the country.
Maracon website published the chart which shows the distribution of votes and percents for each contestant.

Eva Rivas want to do it again
Eva Rivas has announced she will to return to the Contest. Armenian representative in 2010. She has stated her will to return to the Eurovision Song Contest in 2012 for Armenia as she was disappointed by the place. She wants to return and win for Armenia. She reached a 7th place this year in Oslo.
In my opinion, that song is the best of all!
Eva Rivas is so beautiful woman and she stole our hearts in the eurovision night!
she has very nice voice .i like alot.
THANK YOU!!! All I can say.. powerfull song..
Dieser Song ist mit großem Abstand der schönste den ich je gehört habe ! This song is the most beautiful song from the wide wide world ! Ich komme aus Deutschland und finde Armenien hätte gewinnen müssen ! I´m from Germany and : THIS SONG IS THE TRUE WINNER !
The sense of the title “Apricot Stone” is in my opinion that the stone of the apricot comes from your motherland and sings them indirectly about her country. All the same which deeper thought behind it is…. I love you Eva Rivas……. and am your absuluter fan
***Du hrashq katarum arecir***
She is a very beatiful girl and her song is very good actually it could be first in the eurovision but it did not:( ıf eva did her song with me maybe it could be the first..:D
Wonderful song full of peace and love with a nice message towards armenians’ motherland.
