Turkey has chosen alternative rock band Mor ve Ötesi (Purple and Beyond) from Istanbul to represent them at Eurovision Song Contest to be held in Belgrade, Serbia in May 2008.

• Kerem Kabadayı (drums) Burak Güven (bass)
• Kerem Özyeğen (lead guitar)

The band was formed in 1995 and since then they have published five albums.

According to some sources, the opportunity to participate at 53. Eurovision had first been offered to Tarkan but since he refused, they turned to Mor ve Otesi. The song is not yet known but it is expected that it will be in the usual Eurosong style and in Turkish.
