Sébastien Tellier - Divine

Divine

France 2008 Eurovision Song

No no no no no no no
I’m looking for a band today
I see the Chivers anyway
Through my eyes

Oh oh oh
I… I’m alone in life to say
I love the Chivers anyway
‘Cause Chivers look divine
Look away
They try to find the Milky Way
They love to drink it every day

No no no no no no no
You… you and I, it’s like you said
I’m not a Chivers anyway
You look fine

Oh oh oh
I… I’m alone in life to say
I love the Chivers anyway
‘Cause Chivers look divine
Look away
They try to find the Milky Way

I… toi et moi, c’est comme tu sais
Comment mon cœur a succombé
She looks fine

Oh oh oh
I’m looking for a band today
I see the Chivers anyway
I’ll be a Chivers guy some day
In my mind

Dudu dududu dududu…
Dudu dududu dududu…
Du… dudu…

Liking this song… But well, not the type of song that can win the Eurovision. And Sebastien Tellier did better ones… Shame for us!

You don’t see the movie: STEAK ???
    shame on you!

Well… shame on you actually. For not explaining it to us who were deprived of watching it! lol
So.. for the others wondering about the Chivers, it is a high school group to which the main actors in the movie "Steak" strive to belong to. Sebastian played in it and composed some of the tracks.
Reading an imdb comment on the movie absolutely convinced me I hadn’t missed a thing!
Sorry but.. well, that doesn’t influence the fact that I liked some of his tunes that I listened trying to figure out who is Sebastien Tellier.. And, for the record, the song that will represent France is on the bottom of my list of his stuff…

I can’t understand some countries; especially my country Ireland. If you mock the ESC what is the point of participation?

I appriciate the ones who try to make difference in the ESC:

12 p to Turkey’s Mor ve Otesi “Deli”
    10 p to France’s Sébastien Tellier “Divine”
    08 p to Bosnia’s Laka “Pokušaj”

Good Luck to All! Free Irish

What makes this surprising, is that French are releasing English language song that sounds like British pop. I thought they were extremely protectionistic on their language.

Well, I’ve heard it’s lots of people been really upset cause he sings so much in english, and that some wanted him to change some of the english into french. Really good song by the way! I’d be happy if it wins the whole, not likely though..not enough “eurovisionsongcontesty”…

Tonight he sings in English and even French parliament had a debate on the subject - how it’s possible that a French musician sings in English
Something weird is happening with the sound but seems that he wanted it like that
